Guiding’s Supporters
Affiliate Members have to be aged 18 or over, but there is no upper age limit, unless the role they have has an age limit, such as a Unit Helper. Any individual, including men, with an active supporting role in guiding can become an affiliate member, subject to approval from the appropriate Commissioner.
Trefoil Guild membership is open to anyone aged 18 or over, including men. Members meet on a regular basis and share fun and friendship. Trefoil Guild members play an important role in supporting guiding locally.
Friends of Guiding are supporters who have not necessarily been part of Girlguiding and are often parents of past or present members. A Friends of Guiding group is normally attached to a District and helps with activities, such as fund-raising, special events and so on.
