Girlguiding Isle of Man Standard

Description : on the hoist, on a sky blue ground, is the Guide Trefoil, the emblem of the Guide movement and symbolic of the threefold Promise. The red fly is divided vertically by a diagonal blue band with the motto "Be Prepared" in silver. Between the hoist and the band are the Triskelion (also called Trinacria) - three legs joined together, originally the armorial bearings of the native kings of the Isle of Man - representing the Island as a whole, and a Viking ship with sails furled representing Douglas, the capital of the island, and the east. On the right of the fly, the castles represent Castletown and the south, the fishes represent Peel and the west, and the ravens represent Ramsey and the north.
The Island Standard is also available as an embroidered badge from the Island Guide Shop in Murrays Road, Douglas.
